Hagar, Grohl, More Go Acoustic-4-A-Cure

Sammy Hagar, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Don Felder, Mick Fleetwood, Dave Grohl and more will perform at “Acoustic-4-A-Cure IV” May 15 at The Fillmore in San Francisco.

Founded by Hagar and James Hetfield, the benefit raises funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research with proceeds going to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.

However, this year Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will step in for Hetfield, who will be busy touring with a metal band you may have heard of.

Also on the bill are Vic Johnson, Sarah McLachlan, Steve Vai, and Bob Weir.

Tickets for the “will call only” event are on sale now at LiveNation.com. The announcement makes it clear that “tickets will not be available at the Fillmore box office, charge by phone or outlets. There is a two-ticket limit per customer.” Tickets are $150 and come with a T-shirt. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $500.

Now in its fourth year, past artists to perform at Acoustic-4-A-Cure include John Mayer, Billie Joe Armstrong, Adam Sandler, and Kris Kristofferson.
