ACC Liverpool Group Appoints Commercial Director

Ben Williams is to develop the commercial strategy for ACC Liverpool Group, the organization housing the BT Convention Centre, Echo Arena, Exhibition Centre Liverpool and the TicketQuarter ticketing agency.

Williams joins from First Direct Arena Leeds where he was GM for four years since the venue opened. He also worked as commercial and marketing director for Manchester Arena and headed the sponsorship and promotions department at Capital Radio Group in the past.

“Having worked in the events industry for many years, I am aware of the incredible journey that The ACC Liverpool Group has been on since it opened in 2008,” Williams said.

Williams’ appointment follows the recent hiring of former Liverpool Football Club chief executive Ian Ayre as chair of the board of ACC Liverpool Group.

Its chief executive Bob Prattey said it was an “exciting time for The ACC Liverpool Group with two new senior appointments.
