The public-private partnership with ties to Fort Worth billionaire Ed Bass will fund the 14,000-capacity arena facility, which will eventually host the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo performances, according to the Dallas Business Journal.
Terms of the naming rights agreement with the clothing manufacturer were not disclosed. Bass is said to have decided to put $225 million in private money into the project.
The balance is to come from taxes on those using the facility and a parking tax once it’s in business near
The facility will be owned by the City of Fort Worth and managed by not-for-profit Multipurpose Arena Fort Worth. HKS Inc. is the project architect and Beck Group of Dallas is general contractor.
Dickies Arena is expected to open in November 2019, the Journal said.
