Despite having a terrific lineup and location, the 2017 edition of Mysteryland USA has been canceled.

Organizers released a statement saying the event had been nixed because of “unforeseen circumstances.”

Mysteryland USA was scheduled June 9-12 at the Bethel Woods Center For The Arts in Bethel, N.Y. – the site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival. The lineup included big names in EDM and hip hop like G-Eazy, LCD Soundsystem, Major Lazer, Big Gigantic, Run The Jewels, Porter Robinson, and RL Grime.

Here is the full statement from organizers:

Dear Nomads,

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mysteryland USA will no longer take place in 2017.

Since 2014, we have strived to produce the best possible experience for our festival attendees, and are truly humbled by all of the love and support that you, the artists, the beautiful venue of Bethel Woods Center for the Arts and the Town of Bethel have shown us as we celebrated life through music, culture and art.

While it’s common to see concerts restricted to fans 21 and over, it’s not every day that you see shows with restrictions like Babymetal’s The Five Fox Festival, which is broken down by gender, age and dress code.

The Japanese metal idol band is hosting nine events in its home country this summer, with the Black Fox Festival limited to males, the Red Fox Festival strictly for females, and the Gold Fox Festival open to teenagers. Multiple evenings are planned for the Silver Fox Festival (elementary school children and fans age 60 and up) and the White Fox Festival (open to anyone wearing corpse paint).
