Alice Cooper Announces Australia/New Zealand Tour
Folks in Australia and New Zealand will get the chance to “Spend The Night With Alice Cooper” when the architect of shock-rock brings his tour south of the equator this fall. In other news, Cooper is getting his old band back together for a special show in Nashville.
Cooper has a busy schedule ahead of him, including “Spend The Night With Alice Cooper” headline dates in the U.S. and Europe, festival appearances, and U.S. co-bill gigs with Deep Purple.
The legendary performer is reuniting with his original band members – bassist Dennis Dunaway, drummer Neal Smith and guitarist Michael Bruce – when he takes the stage at Nashville’s Tennessee Performing Center on May 14. An announcement describes the concert as “a show within a show type situation, with Cooper performing with his current touring band and with the original band members in a mini-set.”
“We’ve recorded much of my last album and my new one in Nashville and it’s such a great music town,” Cooper said. “With so many musician, songwriter and producer friends here, as well as great rock fans who come to our concerts, it’s special to be performing with Neal, Michael and Dennis in Nashville for them.”
Cooper’s original drummer, guitarist and bassist also appear on Cooper’s as-yet-untitled album due out this summer.
