Riviera Pop 2017 Scrapped Due To Slow Sales

German concert promoter Karsten Jahnke Konzertdirektion has canceled the three-day Riviera Pop festival sited at the German coast of the Baltic Sea, saying presales fell short of expectations.

The plan was to establish a family-friendly festival at the holiday resort Weissenhäuser Strand, presenting international pop, soul and jazz acts on three stages, combining a short vacation and good musi May 19-21.

Artists on the bill included Tom OdellMilow, and Max Giesinger.

“Unfortunately this concept did not enjoy the popularity we had envisaged,” a statement read. Tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.

Those who booked tickets including accommodation can choose to have the festival’s worth refunded and still enjoy a stay at the Baltic Sea.

Riviera Pop was to be an advancement of Jazzville, which took place on the same site in 2015 as a one-off.
