Sting adds two new dates to his “57th & 9th” tour … Alabama Shakes takes on four headline shows on the East Coast … Garth Brooks hits Billings, Mont. … Tedeschi Trucks Band announces three nights in Texas.
Sting is trotting North America this year to support his latest album, and has tacked two more stops onto his routing.
The new shows are at Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, Mass., Aug, 29 and Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga, N.Y., on Aug. 30. There are various presales for the shows ongoing now. The general onsale for Saratoga is available April 28 and Lenox is available May 1.
The gigs will feature content from Sting’s latest LP, 57th & 9th, which, according to Rolling Stone, was named after the New York intersection he had to cross every day to get to the studio the LP was recorded in.
Sting’s next performance is in Santiago, Chile, on May 2. He continues throughout Latin America in May and then heads to Asia and Europe in June.

There is little doubt this is the same song and dance we are used to from Garth’s tour announcements. He has announced one gig for the Rimrock Auto Arena At MetraPark on June 10, but he will likely add more nights once that show sells out.
You can get tickets to the gig on May 5 at 10 a.m. MST.
The show, as always, will feature Trisha Yearwood, and is now presented by Amazon Music Unlimited.
Garth has shows in Champaign, Ill., this weekend and plays Kansas City, Mo., for a few weeks after that.
