Filthy Friends To Sully North America
Filthy Friends, a supergroup featuring members of R.E.M., Sleater-Kinney, and King Crimson, among others, is playing a few festivals and headline appearances this year.
The band is made up of Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney, Peter Buck of R.E.M., Scot McCaughey of Young Fresh Fellows, Kurt Bloch of Fastbacks, and Bill Rieflin of King Crimson and Ministry.
There are a few live performances already scheduled, with two headline dates in Eugene, Ore., Aug. 25, and Brooklyn, N.Y., Aug. 29. There are also two festival appearances planned in the Northwest, Musicfest NW Presents Project Pabst in Portland, Ore., on Aug. 26 and at Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle, Wash., Sept. 1-3.
Tickets to those gigs go on sale April 28 at 10 a.m. EST.
The group is also planning an album in 2017. There is a single available for listening, a cover of Roxy Music’s “Editions of You.”
