Page, Burns Up For NZ Music Managers Forum Awards

Two of New Zealand’s most prominent artist managers have landed nominations in two categories each for the New Zealand chapter of the Music Managers Forum’s annual awards, which takes place May 10 at  in Auckland.

Ashley Page, whose clients include siblings duo Broods, former Lorde producer Joel Little and Australian balladeer Jarryd James, could be headed for a third consecutive win of manager of the year.

UK-born Page, whose father Larry Page looked after British acts The Kinks and The Troggs, is also up for “international achievement.” Alastair Burns, whose Melbourne, Australia-based Heartstop Music looks after Marlon Williams, Julia Jacklin and All Our Exes Live In Texas, is also up for the two categories.

Burns won the international achievement gong in 2016. Other categories include emerging manager, breakthrough manager, self-managed artist and best independent tour.
