Cedar Fair, operator of 11 amusement parks in the U.S. including Knott’s Berry Farm in California, is adding metal detectors to all of its properties.

That includes Cedar Point, the “Roller Coaster Capital of the World,” in Sandusky, Ohio, near Cleveland, which opens May 6 with a newly expanded water park called Cedar Point Shores.
It has the second most roller coasters in the world behind Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif. Cedar Fair also operates Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Pennsylvania.
