Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have been sued by jazz musician Paul Batiste, who claims the duo lifted heavily from his tunes to create the songs “Thrift Shop” and “Neon Cathedral.”

Batiste claims the beat and horn sections from his songs “Hip Jazz” and “World of Blues” influenced the breakthrough hit “Thrift Shop” and that “Neon Cathedral” was influenced by three of his works, according to TMZ

Batiste has reportedly sued dozens of producers and record label execs, T-Pain, Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and Pitbull for allegedly lifting his music.
