The performances are all in June, with the exception of a July 28 gig in Salt Lake City. The first show is a headliner in Chicago June 9 and the shows with Tool are mixed in with solo shows.

It was announced in March that one half of the Crystal Method, Ken Jordan, was moving Costa Rica , so these shows will be solo sets from Scott Kirkland. The performances are being billed as “an unparalleled and immersive interpretation of TCM’s celebrated catalog….”

Kirkland is also one half of Bandwidth, a project he does with Tool bassist Justin Chancellor. Since The Crystal Method is joining Tool for multiple shows, there’s a good chance those two will play some of their own stuff.

“I am excited about the music I’m making at my LA studio Crystalwerks and the people I’m working with,” Kirkland said in a statement. “The new album is sounding amazing and this summer tour with Tool is going to be epic!”

Kirkland also helped score the upcoming Netflix documentary “Hired Gun,” coming out this summer.

Tickets to the Tool shows are on sale now. Check out the venue websites for the headline shows.
