Meadows Music And Arts Festival reveals lineup … Pop stars like Halsey, Miley Cyrus, Backstreet Boys, and Fifth Harmony are playing the iHeartSummer ’17 Weekend … OZY Fest will take place for the second year in a row in New York City … Doheny Blues Festival is ramping up for its 20th anniversary and has announced a new non-profit for the occasion.

The Meadows Music And Arts Festival is back for its second edition, featuring Jay Z, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gorillaz, Future, Bassnectar and Weezer.

You might notice that three headliners, namely Jay Z, the Chili Peppers and Gorillaz are also playing Austin City Limits Music Festival in October. Further down the lineup, though, things are very different.

Meadows is placing a big emphasis on indie and hip hop acts this year.

Nas, Run The Jewels, LL Cool J, Migos,  Action Bronson, De La Soul, Joey Bada$$, Tory Lanez, 21 Savage, Ghostface Killah and Big Boi will hold down the hip hop side of the festival, providing a healthy mix of veteran acts and new talent.

Rockers at the festival include Foster The People, TV On The Radio, Two Door Cinema Club, Milky Chance, St. Paul And The Broken Bones and more.

There will also be some notable female and female-led acts at the event, like Erykah Badu, M.I.A., Sleigh Bells, Marian Hill, and Tegan And Sara.

Miami Beach is getting a truckload of artists this June for a two-day televised special put on by iHeartMedia.

The event, titled iHeartSummer ’17 Weekend by AT&T, takes place June 9-10 at Fontainbleau Miami Beach. The special then airs on television June 23-24 via the Audience Network.

DJ Khaled, Halsey, Miley Cyrus, Backstreet Boys, Fifth Harmony and Noah Cyrus are all billed to take the stage. The celebration will also include various activities, including a celebrity volleyball tournament, and an all-day pool party.

Tickets to the event can only be purchased in a package that includes reservations at the Fonainbleau. Fans can also try to win tickets through on-air and online iHeartMedia promotions.

“Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest,” New Orleans, La.

OZY Fest is back with a festival that will feature performances and conversations with musicians and comedians, as well as presentations, panels and discussions with authors and thought leaders.

The New York Times called the event, “part music festival, part TED talk, part food fair.” The fest is happening at Rumsey Playfield in NYC’s Central Park July 22. Tickets are available for purchase now.

Musicians slated to appear include Jason Derulo, Zara Larsson and Talib Kweli, and

Speaking at the event will be writers and journalists Malcolm Gladwell, Katie Couric, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Van Jones and Adam Grant. NFL star Von Miller and Tinder co-founder Whitney Wolfe will also be highlighted in the “thought leadership” lineup.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Doheny Blues Festival, with Joe Walsh, Melissa Etheridge’s Memphis Rock & Soul, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Experience, Chris Isaak and

The recently created Doheny Blues Foundation will promote awareness and education about the blues. It has a five-year plan to finance and support current blues musicians and to educate youth and foster an appreciation for the art form.

The company won’t officially start operations until September, but there will be a fundraising party to support the foundation in Laguna Beach, Calif., May 17.

The festival is scheduled May 20-21 in Dana Point, Calif. Tickets are still available.
