Stones Leave Out UK On Europe Tour

No, Brexit is not the reason the UK isn’t part of the Rolling Stones’ upcoming European tour. The band says it is skipping its hometown in 2017 due to a lack of venues.

“Sorry to our UK fans that we cannot play UK dates on this run, due to lack of available venues, because of sporting fixtures. But we hope to be here in 2018,” the band wrote on its social media accounts.

Germany (three dates), Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Netherlands (two dates), Denmark, Sweden and France (two dates) are all part of the iconic band’s No Filter tour, which kicks off Sep. 9 in Hamburg, Germany’s, Stadtpark.

“I’m so excited to be touring Europe this autumn and returning to some familiar places and some we’ve never done before,” Mick Jagger said in a statement.
