Ricky Gervais Adds Final 2017 US Gigs
Fans have two more chances to see Ricky Gervais take the stage in the U.S. and share his thoughts on humanity.
“Humanity” just so happens to be the name of the comedian’s stand-up tour, which is headed to three cities in the U.S. and a number of locations across Europe.
The excursion kicks off May 19 at the Sylvia & Danny Kaye Playhouse in New York, followed by a May 21 gig at New York’s Theater At Madison Square Garden. Next week he heads to Chicago.
His previously announced, sold out Hollywood, Calif., shows are booked Oct. 28 and 30 at the Dolby Theatre.
The tour also includes his first-ever performances in Canada. Gervais stops by Toronto’s Massey Hall July 14-16.
The final U.S. dates are booked on either coast: an additional NYC show at the Theater At Madison Square Garden Oct. 27 and a third night at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre Nov. 1.
“Thousands of people paying hard earned cash to come and see you live is such a privilege,” Gervais said. “You’d better have something different, interesting and funny to say. Humanity is my angriest, most honest and I think my best tour yet. It’s probably my most personal too. I feel I may as well tell you everything before I die. Hope you enjoy it. Or not. There are no refunds. Just like life, I guess.”
Tickets for both new performances go on sale May 19 at 10 a.m. local time.
