Ticket Scam Artist Sentenced
A U.S. District Court judge in Sioux City sentenced Ranae Van Roekel May 11 to four years and three months in prison for her guilty plea to mail and income tax fraud. She was also ordered to pay about $468,000 in restitution, the Sioux City Journal said.

Van Roekel ran a ticket brokerage called Get ‘Em Now Tickets from January 2008 to June 2012. She was charged with bilking customers by claiming to have ties to big events and could supply discounted tickets, VIP passes and hotel rooms.
