Shreveport Mayor Proposes New Arena
Ollie Tyler, mayor of Shreveport, La., proposed a new sports complex to secure a bid for the New Orleans Pelicans NBA Developmental League basketball team.
The proposed sports complex would include an event center seating up to 5,000 and would be used year-round for various sports and entertainment events, The Times of Shreveport reported.

Shreveport is one of six cities looking to acquire the D-League team.
