Win Butler, Regine Chassagne and the rest of the band played a handful of North American festivals last year including, including New Orleans’ Voodoo Music + Arts Experience and New York’s Panorama Festival, but fans have been waiting quite a while for a headline excursion.

Following an Aug. 6 headline spot at Chicago’s Lollaplooza, The “Infinite Content” Tour launches with a handful of shows in the indie rock group’s native Canada. The first stop is Sept. 5 at Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Quebec. A hometown show at Montreal’s Bell Centre is scheduled Sept. 6.

Other cities on the routing include New York, Boston, Dallas, Vancouver, San Diego, Las Vegas and Denver.

Select dates feature support from Wolf Parade, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Phantogram, Angel Olsen, Broken Social Scene, and Grandmaster Flash.

Arcade Fire’s fifth studio album, Everything Now, is due out July 28. Fans looking for a physical version of the new tunes can choose between CD, vinyl and even cassette. There will be 20 different artwork variants available with the title displayed in one of 20 different languages.
