Fake Drugs, Real Cops
Bonnaroo got off to an unusual start June 8 with the arrest of a New York man with a stash of fake drugs who told police he “was doing God’s work.”

Accused of bringing more than 100 fake drugs to the Bonnaroo music festival in Tennessee.
David Brady of Albany, N.Y., was sitting under a tent on festival grounds in Manchester, Tenn., when deputies spotted him attempting to dispose of what appeared to be narcotics. When they approached Brady and he stood up, he appeared to have a bag of mushrooms hanging from his waist band, according to USA Today Network / The Tennessean.
According to the report, Brady was allegedly in possession of “37 pills made to look as if they were molly … 22 bags of fake mushrooms, about 1,000 hits of fake acid, 20 bags made to look like cocaine and an incense stick made to look like heroin.” Brady told police he was “doing God’s work by selling fake drugs.”
He was charged with two real counts of possession of counterfeit controlled substances.
