XXXTentacion Knocked Out Onstage

Rapper XXXTentacion was performing at a San Diego theater when an assailant rushed onstage and sucker punched him, ending the evening’s entertainment and leaving a man stabbed in the ensuing pandemonium.

The June 7 show at the 1,100-capacity Observatory North Park was under way when a man somehow bypassed all security and clotheslined XXXTentacion, who was performing at center stage. Security immediately began wailing on the assailant, others began rushing the stage, and staff thus began brawling with an estimated 10 people.

After the sucker punch XXXTentacion was out cold, though he later posted on social media that he was fine and he accused the venue and security staff of being complicit in the attack.

“Security and venue set me up, I got sucker punched and knocked out, it is what it is,” he wrote on Twitter. “Next time make sure you kill me so I can’t talk shit.”

A fan also later posted video of XXXTentacion on Instagram saying the venue was going to get sued.

Many on social media attribute the attack to rapper and San Diego native Rob $tone, who has an ongoing feud with XXXTentacion and allegedly warned him not to perform in the city. No one had claimed responsibility for the attack at press time.

The 19-year-old stabbing victim was hospitalized with a wound that was reportedly not life threatening.

XXXTentacion was performing during another recent dustup at House of Blues in Houston May 31, when a group of young men allegedly assaulted concertgoers and stole their cell phones. 

XXXTentacion’s tour was scheduled to continue at press time. Representatives for Observatory North Park couldn’t be reached for comment.
