Farm Aid Sprouts In Pennsylvania

Farm Aid has enlisted the likes of Jack Johnson, The Avett Brothers, Sheryl Crow along with its own board members like Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews for this year’s edition in Pennsylvania.

The event will be held at KeyBank Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pa., on Sept. 16. A presale begins June 14 and the general onsale is June 23 at 10 a.m. EDT.

“Family farm agriculture is the heart of Pennsylvania,” Farm Aid President and founder Willie Nelson said in a statement. “What’s happening in western Pennsylvania and the region shows us that we can count on family farmers to strengthen our communities and connect people. Whether we live in rural or urban places, food – and music – brings us all together.”

Farm Aid has already raised more than $50 million for assistance to farmers and family farms over the years. This is the third time the event is being held in Pennsylvania since its inception in 1985.

Dave Matthews is playing with longtime collaborator Tim Reynolds. Additional performers at this year’s event include Jamey Johnson, Blackberry Smoke and KeyBank Pavilion.
