The Weeknd Announces Second 2017 Leg

The stars have aligned for more gigs from The Weeknd. He unveiled the routing today for the second leg to his “Starboy Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour.”

“Phase One” of the trek began in February in Stockholm, Sweden, and wrapped up last week in Cincinnati.

The Canadian R&B singer/songwriter/producer has been earning praise for his live show, with British GQ declaring that his March 7 concert at The O2 in London “was without-doubt one of the best shows we’ve seen from a mega star in a seriously long time.”

The new run of dates will bring more performances to North America, as well as New Zealand and Australia. “Phase Two” kicks off in Sept. 6 at Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pa., followed by a show in his hometown at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre Sept. 9.

The North American portion of the excursion includes shows in Kansas City, Denver, Vancouver, Houston, Anaheim, Las Vegas, Miami, Nashville and Detroit. The last stop is Chicago’s United Center Nov. 2.

The Weeknd heads to New Zealand’s Spark Arena Nov. 29 and then he’s off to Australia in December.

Nav appears on all dates. The U.S. gigs also feature Gucci Mane. French Montana joins the tour in Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

The tour supports The Weeknd’s third studio album, 2016’s Starboy, which is certified 2X platinum.

Tickets go on sale to the general public June 16 at 11 a.m. local time.
