Sheryl Crow Additions

“Farm Aid” isn’t the only place to catch Sheryl Crow on stage this year. Along with this week’s festival announcement, she’s added a few other gigs to her schedule.

The singer/songwriter is currently on the road supporting her 10th studio album, Be Myself, which came out in April.

Rolling Stone’s Rob Sheffield declares, “Her excellent new Be Myself is her toughest and best in a decade, a full-blown return to her fierce rock-queen glory. She aims directly at the torn-and-frayed guitar groove of her Nineties records, but with flourishes of her recent detours into Memphis soul and Nashville country.”

Crow performs the tune on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on June 27.

Check out the video, released this week, for the track “Halfway There,” featuring Gary Clark Jr.

“The idea of the song is that even though you may drive a big Chevy truck and I drive my hybrid or you may wear designer clothes and I wear ripped jeans, that doesn’t mean we don’t want the same things in life and the same things for our kids in the future,” Crow says. “The message is we need to agree to disagree and just try and meet halfway there.”

The new dates include a June 26 show at New York’s Iridium Jazz Club, to be filmed as part of the PBS concert series “Front and Center.” She’s also added an Oct. 3 headline gig at San Francisco’s Fillmore and Sept. 10 appearance at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pa., as part of “Outlaw Music Festival” with Willie Nelson, Van Morrison, The Avett Brothers, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, and Particle Kid.

Catch Crow at Farm Aid Sept. 16 at KeyBank Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pa.

Tickets for select dates are on sale now.
