Fillmore Minneapolis Deal

United Properties and Live Nation’s House Of Blues Entertainment have inked a deal to bring a Fillmore Theater and BG’s Q at the Fillmore restaurant to a mixed-use development at Target Field Station in Minneapolis.

The 36,000-square-foot facility located near Target Field, home to MLB’s Minnesota Twins, will feature a 2,000-capacity venue for concerts, United Properties announced June 15. The space will have the Fillmore’s trademark look and feel based on the historic San Francisco Fillmore opened in 1954. The Minneapolis Fillmore is expected to host about 150 shows a year with an annual attendance between 150,000-200,000.

The 140-seat BG’s Q at the Fillmore will have full table service as well as a bar and lounge. The menu includes authentic BBQ along with craft brews.

United Properties is also joining Lion Hotel Group to develop a 160-room Element by Westin hotel above the Fillmore Theater.

Construction is expected to start this fall, with completion in the summer of 2019.
