Of course, Liam doesn’t need an introduction to the music world, thanks to his history as the frontman of Oasis and his work with Beady Eye.
His first solo LP, As You Were, is due out Oct. 6 via Warner Bros. / Parlophone Records. Pre-orders come with an instant download of the track “Wall of Glass,” as well as “China Town” on June 30.
Liam released the official video for “Wall of Glass” a few weeks ago and performed the song at his Manchester benefit.
“Gallagher snarls on the track, over raucous power chords, pounding drums and wailing harmonica,” Ryan Reed writes for Rolling Stone. He adds that the song “pairs a vintage Oasis attack with modern production sheen.”
He has several festival appearances lined up this summer, including Saturday’s Glastonbury set in Pilton, England; Lollapalooza editions in Chicago and Paris; and the Foo Fighters’ Cal Jam in San Bernardino, Calif.
The North American tour launches Nov. 13 at the Warfield in San Francisco. Stops include Minneapolis, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York and Philadelphia.
Although this is Liam’s first solo tour through North America, he won’t be by himself on stage. He’s bringing along Jay Mehler on guitars, Mike Moore on guitars, Christian Madden on keyboards, Drew McConnell on bass, and Dan McDougall on drums.
A fan presale started today. Local market presales begin June 27 and run through June 28 at 10 p.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public June 29 at 10 a.m. local time.
