Mempho Festival Ready For Launch

The inaugural edition of Mempho Music Festival is set to take place in

Memphis is commonly referred to as the birthplace of Rock ‘n’ Roll (although other cities like Cleveland might debate this point), and was a jumping off point for Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and B.B. King.

“The roots of American music can be clearly traced directly to Memphis. The first annual Mempho Music Festival is being launched with a distinct purpose to pay homage to our community’s unique role in shaping and influencing global music culture,” festival founder and CEO of promoter Big River Presents Diego Winegardner said in statement.

In terms of nature, there will be activities like biking, canoeing, zip lining, and horseback riding.

A special “Early Bird” presale with discounted tickets begins on July 13. The general onsale opens July 14.
