Kid Rock is hinting at a possible run for U.S. Senate later this year and he has dates throughout the regional Midwest which could double as campaign stops.

The artist’s next gig is at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles , Calif., July 23. He has a run of six shows at the soon-to-open Little Caesars Arena in Detroit in September. Prior to that he has solo shows in Grand Rapids, Mich., Fort Wayne, Ind., and Evansville, Ind., on Sept. 6, 8, and 9 respectively.                     

Kid Rock is also hosting his annual Fish Fry at Carl Black Chevy Woods Amphitheater At Fontanel in Whites Creek, Tenn., Oct. 6-7.  His last gig is a solo show in Laughlin, Nev., on Nov. 11.

Swirling rumors about Rock’s potential candidacy for the U.S. were fueled on Wednesday when Kid Rock said that a website linking to “Kid Rock For US Senate” was legitimate and that he would be making a major announcement in the near future.

He posted an announcement on his website last night stating that he would release new music during his campaign and that he had 15 days to file paperwork from his announcement.

“I concede [sitting Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow] is better at playing politics than I am so I’ll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS and letting politicians like her know that We the People are sick and tired of their bullshit!,” he wrote.
