Update: Zedeck To Run UTA Music Globally
David Zedeck has left his role at Live Nation and will take a significant role at United Talent Agency beginning July 31: Global Head of Music, a partner in the company and special adviser to the board of director.
Neil Warnock, the founder of The Agency Group before it was acquired by UTA in 2015, will continue “in an important leadership role within the music division,” according to the announcement.
Zedeck, who at one time repped Britney Spears, *Nsync and Backstreet Boys when they were the trifecta of pop superstardom, was recently exec VP and president of global talent and artist development at Live Nation.

“We are excited to have a professional of David’s standing lead our team of great agents and executives,” UTA Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Zimmer said. “His vision of full- service representation meshes exactly with where we have been taking the department. His track record of developing artists, his passion for music, and his understanding of how to use all the resources of an agency make David the perfect leader for our future.”

When he left CAA to join LN in 2012, his clients included Justin Timberlake, Justin Bieber, and One Direction. The hiring falls in line with UTA’s increased focus on its music department, which has steadily built its roster with recent signings like Jeezy, Jeremih, and Seether.
“Joining UTA during a period when its music business is accelerating is an amazing opportunity,” Zedeck said. “UTA has a commitment to developing artists and helping them create platforms to share their music with fans around the world. Throughout my career I have been dedicated to working with artists to grow their global audience, so I’m very excited to return to the agency business to lead UTA’s music group.”
