The band, which formed during the wild 2016 election cycle, is made up of Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk; Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord; and Cypress Hill’s B-Real.

Prophets Of Rage’s self-titled debut is due out Sept. 15. The 12-track project was produced by longtime Rage collaborator Brendan O’Brien.

The album is described as fusing “the diverse styles, sonic firepower and hard-hitting social consciousness” of the musicians’ previous work “into an inventive and compelling new musical statement.” Pre-orders are ongoing.

The album release tour kicks off Sept. 7 at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club. The other shows are scheduled at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, N.J.; Theatre Of Living Arts in Philadelphia; and the Apollo Theater in New York.

Previously announced festival appearances include Riot Fest & Carnival in Chicago; Houston Open Air in The Woodlands, Texas; and Ozzfest in San Bernardino, Calif.
