Dream Theater Celebrates Classic Album

Theatres around North America should brace themselves for a dose of classic

The album, Images and Words, remains the band’s most commercially successful project and was the first LP to feature the vocals of James LaBrie, who is still with the band.

“We know that this is such an important album to so many of our fans, both old and new, so we plan on making this a really special night by playing Images and Words in its entirety as well as breaking out some rare material, and a few of our latest tunes, in order to make this landmark evening complete,” the band’s founding guitarist John Petrucci said in a press release.

The “Images, Words & Beyond 25th anniversary tour” already wrapped up in Europe and is scheduled to land in North America Oct. 25, the first stop being at Oakland, Calif.’s

Presale tickets are available Aug. 2 and the general public onsale opens Aug. 4.

The band is also promising to hit the studio for a new album in 2018.
