A source with knowledge of the deal told the Austin Chronicle the deal, which includes the building, business and brand – but the not the land it sits on – was done the last week of July.

Scoot Inn is more than just a favorite watering hole. Its 1,000- capacity backyard stage comes complete with its own sound and lighting systems, as well as backstage and production amenities.

Of those shows reported to Pollstar in the last two years, its most recent include some Austin City Limits Festival late night shows, as well as artists such as Yellowcard, Whitey Morgan, ReBirth Brass Band, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Pepper, and Shakey Graves.

The Scoot Inn also boasts an indoor small concert space called Ivy’s Room, which was redesigned and upgraded last fall.

According to the Chronicle, Scoot Inn won a little international notoriety during a 2014 South By Southwest showcase when

Terms of the acquisition and details of the land lease weren’t disclosed.
