Kesha Announces ‘Rainbow Tour’

Somewhere over the rainbow, in cities across the U.S., you’ll find Kesha’s fall tour. The six-week outing is in support of the singer’s upcoming third studio album.

Rainbow is due out Aug. 11 on Kemosabe / RCA Records. Last month she released videos for the tracks “Praying,” “Woman” and “Learn To Let Go.”

The album taps “into the ‘raw, organic’ vibe of her true musical influences, including Iggy Pop, Rolling Stones, the Beach Boys, T Rex, James Brown, the Beatles, Sweet and Dolly Parton,” according to Rolling Stone.

“My new album Rainbow is dedicated to my fans. And I’m so excited to be able to invite you all to come boogie with me on my new ‘Rainbow Tour,’” Kesha said in a statement released today. “I would not have made it to this point without my animals and supporters so now come out and join the celebration with me.”

The excursion begins Sept. 26 at Iron City in Birmingham, Ala. After that she heads to Nashville; Atlanta; Charlotte, N.C.; and Raleigh, N.C.

Other cities on the schedule include Boston, New York, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Denver, Seattle and San Francisco. The tour includes one night in Canada with a stop at Toronto’s Rebel. The last gig is booked at the Hollywood Palladium Nov. 1.

Every pair of tickets to the tour comes with a physical copy of the new album. VIP packages include exclusive signed merchandise.

A fan presale begins Thursday, Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. Fans can get access to the presale by listening to and sharing tracks from Rainbow.

A Citi cardmember presale via Citi’s Private Pass program starts Aug. 3 at 12 p.m. All times local.
