Buckingham & McVie Book Second Leg

Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie are headed back on the road together in October for a second leg of North American dates in support of their collaborative album.

The Fleetwood Mac members released their 10-track joint project, Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie, in June. The duo recorded the material prior to rehearsals for Fleetwood Mac’s 2014-2015 “On With The Show” world tour, which marked McVie’s first outing with the band since she departed the lineup in 1998.

“The marvel is that these two longtime band mates can simultaneously stand on their own and exert a gentle pull on each other, expanding our appreciation of them as living, breathing artists, rather than subjects of tabloid-heightened legend,” NPR said in its review of the album.

The duo has also earned praise for its live show, with The Boston Globe declaring, “the gusto with which Buckingham and McVie approached the night animated both their new material and classic cuts.”

The first leg of the tour wraps up Friday with a show in Bethlehem, Pa.

The fall schedule launches Oct. 14 in San Jose, Calif., at the City National Civic. Cities on the routing include San Diego, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Minneapolis, Orlando, San Antonio and Louisville, Ky.

An American Express cardholder presale begins Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public Aug. 18. The only exception is Louisville’s onsale, which starts Aug. 25.
