He wrote, “After the last tour, Ryan and I agreed that some creative space would be good for the both of us. Ryan Lewis is my brother forever. We have been working together damn near every day for nine years and it felt like the right time.”

Macklemore added that the decision came from a place of love and that the duo would put out more

In the meantime, Macklemore released the song “Glorious,” featuring Skylar Grey. The song was produced by Budo with additional production from Tyler Dopps.

“It felt like the right record to come back with, embarking on this new chapter of life. … ‘Glorious’ is just the start.”

The tour begins Oct. 6 at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Ore.

Stops on the excursion include San Francisco, Dallas, Nashville, Milwaukee, Detroit, New York and Boston.

Tickets go on sale to the public Aug. 11.
