Mother Nature’s Wrath
Turbulent wind caused a Pennsylvania festival to scrub its remaining schedule and a storm forced Joe Bonamassa to switch Nebraska venues.
Strong winds partially collapsed a tent at Richland Community Days Aug. 19 in Johnstown, Pa., injuring two and forcing the festival to cancel the rest of its planned performances.
The Aug. 18-20 festival was celebrating its 10th anniversary when a storm swept through the area and collapsed the main tent between 5:30 and 6 p.m. Organizers told TheTribune-Democrat that the planned fireworks show was rescheduled to the next night.
All other events were canceled, including performances by Tom Katz, Tres Lads and Felix & The Hurricanes.
