Before any solo shows he is first putting on his annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles Oct. 28-29, with Kid Cudi, 2 Chainz, Migos, Kehlani, Lana Del Rey, Lil Yachty, Solange, and Justice all set to join him.

After that the headline dates start on Halloween at San Francisco’s

Tickets to those gigs go on sale Aug. 24.

Tyler was banned from performing in the U.K. and Australia last year largely because of his violently misogynistic lyrics that deal with subjects like rape, kidnapping and murder. He has been a target of criticism from LGBT and feminist activists for years because of his lyrics, so when he wrote “I’ve been kissing white boys since 2004,” on Flower Boy’s “I Ain’t Got Time!” it raised some eyebrows.

Despite all the controversy, Tyler and his friends from the Odd Future musical collective have been successful in moving tickets. His tour dates last year reported sellouts at clubs and theatres in Minneapolis; Austin, Texas; Santa Cruz, Calif.; and Sacramento, Calif. None of those venues are on the plan this year, but there are returns to last year’s venues in Fresno, Calif.; Salt Lake City; and Worcester, Mass.

Superfans will know that Tyler maintains a subscription-based media service called Golf Media and the Gold Wang clothing line, so his shows are likely to be hotspots for unique merch.
