Palace of Auburn Hills To Close After Seger Show

The Palace Of Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills, Mich.

Palace Sports & Entertainment said “no decisions or timetable regarding future plans for the building or the property have been made at this time,” though a number of options are expected to be available.

The only other show on the books for the Palace is the Soul2Soul II tour with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill on Sept. 8.

The venue opened with a concert from Sting in 1988 and was named Pollstar’s Arena of the Year in 1992.  Over the years it has been the home of the NBA’s Pistons, the WNBA’s Shock, the AFL’s Fury and a number of other sports teams.
