Introducing Taylor Swift Tix
In addition to releasing her new single, “Look What You Made Me Do,” Thursday night, Taylor Swift announced her new ticket program: Taylor Swift Tix powered by Ticketmaster Verified Fan.
A statement on the program’s site, Tickets.TaylorSwift.com, explains that the pop star “is committed to getting tickets into the hands of fans … NOT scalpers or bots. So she’s collaborating with Ticketmaster #VerifiedFan to create an exclusive program to help YOU get the best access to tickets in North America, in a really fun way.”

It’s safe to say that a new tour from Swift is on the way, but you’ll have to wait for dates and venues.
For now, fans can register with Taylor Swift Tix – or sign in with Ticketmaster – and then select which cities they’d like to get in line for. After making your selection and entering your mobile number you can start participating in boost activities that will unlock ticket access and help move you up in the line to buy tickets.
Pre-ordering Swift’s new studio album and purchasing new merchandise will give you high boosts, while posting on social media about Taylor Swift Tix and watching the lyric video for “Look What You Made Me Do,” will give you low boosts.
Potential stops on Swift’s upcoming tour include Atlanta, Denver, Indianapolis, Louisville, Miami, Nashville, Seattle, Tampa, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Toronto, Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cleveland, Chicago, Columbus, and Washington, D.C.
Fans who are outside of North America can sign up for Swift’s mailing list to be informed when international dates are announced.
The initial Taylor Swift Tix program closes on Nov. 28, locking the line for the North American tour. Her sixth studio album, reputation, is due out Nov. 10.
Taylor Swift Tix appears to be a similar approach to the rewards system that Depeche Mode used for the presale for its 2017 tour.
Whether fans register for Taylor Swift Tix or not, it’s a safe bet to say that her next tour is going to sell tons of tickets.
Her 2015 tour in support of 1989 generated more than $250 million in primary ticket sales as she played to nearly 2.3 million fans, according to Pollstar’s Year End Report. Swift was No. 1 in North America and just behind One Direction on the Worldwide chart.
She grossed a total of $199.4 million in North America, marking the biggest tour to ever hit the continent. The previous record of $162 million set by The Rolling Stones in 2005.
