Death Overshadows Successful Reading Festival
A 17-year-old was found dead inside his tent at Reading Festival in England, which takes place concurrently with the twin Leeds Festival Aug. 25-27.

“Emergency services were called to a tent in the campsite shortly before 2 a.m. this morning, where a 17-year-old boy was sadly pronounced deceased. The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the boy’s next of kin have been informed,” a statement by Thames Valley Police released Aug 27 reads.
Reading said in a statement: “We’re deeply saddened by this news, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this truly heart-breaking time.”
Both Reading and Leeds were headlined by Muse, Kasabian and Eminem this year.
At Reading, Muse brought out AC/DC’s Brian Johnson on stage, and Giggs was joined on stage by Drake. In Leeds, Queens Of The Stone Age appeared for a surprise Friday set.
