Elite 100 Artists Week Ending 8/24/17

Another Elite 100 chart, another Drake No. 1 spot.

This despite Drake not having any dates on the books other than a couple of very recent festival dates in his hometown of Toronto. He did make an appearance at England’s Reading Festival though.

Kodak Black jumps to No. 2 (No. 57 last week) with the release of a new mixtape. This follows hype from his March LP debut and a big summer tour with Future, Migos and Tory Lanez that played arenas and sheds.

After taking last week’s No. 1 spot, Kesha is at No. 6, following the release of her first LP since 2012.

Pollstar, with the BuzzAngle Music-powered Elite 100 Artists Chart, gives a snapshot of the week’s top-selling artists based on music sales and streaming, counting data from the U.S. and Canada.

All product, not just current releases, by that artist are included in the figures and the total for ranking purposes is based on an album sale equaling 1, 10 song sales equal 1 album, and 1,500 on-demand streams equal 1 album.
