Artists Offer Charlottesville Free Concert

Dave Matthews Band, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Chris Stapleton, Ariana Grande, The Roots and others have signed on to perform a free show in Charlottesville, Va., later this month.

The rain or shine concert is set to take place Sept. 24 at

Admission is free, with Charlottesville residents, students, faculty and staff at the University of Virginia, and residents of surrounding counties getting first crack at tickets. Online requests can be sent through ConcertForCharlottesville.com, though a $7.50 handling fee may be charged if you are granted tickets.

Attendees will be encouraged to donate to the Concert for Charlottesville Fund. Beneficiaries of the fund include victims of the events in Charlottesville on Aug. 11-12, first responders and “organizations devoted to the promotion of healing, unity and justice locally and nationwide.”
