Guests can top up their jerseys via the club’s app with set amounts ranging from €10 to €100. They can manage their credit using the app too.
The chip is worked into the logo of Schalke’s sleeve sponsor AllyouneedFresh, an online supermarket. It’s being rolled out in all new home jerseys this week. The away and alternative jerseys are going to receive the update in the future.
