John Davisson – Oteil Burbridge
Bear Creek Music & Art Festival, Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park, Live Oak, Fla.
The after-show is on the first day of the Oct. 6-7 festival in the city’s Shelby Farms Park.
Musical director Eric Krasno, guitarist for Lettuce and Soulive, will lead a rotating group of musicians dubbed the “Mempho All-Stars,” including Oteil Burbridge (Dead & Company, The Allman Brothers Band), Steve Kimock (RatDog, Phil Lesh & Friends), John Popper (Blues Traveler, Frogwings), Robert Randolph (Robert Randolph & The Family Band), Jeff Sipe (Aquarium Rescue Unit) and more. The musicians will play to honor the memory of the three Southern rock heroes, who have all died within the last year.
The show benefits “Learn to Rock,” a philanthropic program aimed at educating Memphis students about the city’s musical history. The program is providing hundreds of free tickets to Shelby County high school students, staff and parents.
Admission to the after show is included with general passes to the festival. Tickets are on sale now.
