Dua Lipa
Readers living in the U.K. are no doubt already familiar with the electronic-pop phenomenon that is Dua Lipa. Her single “New Rules” hit No. 1 on the country’s Official Singles Chart and she has been all over prominent media outlets. Those in other markets might still have time to hop on the hype train before officially being the last ones to the party.
Born to Albanian parents in London, Lipa started posting covers on YouTube as a teenager and was signed by Warner Music Group in 2015. In the last two years, her singles and accompanying videos have made increasingly large waves online and in her home country.

In January she released a single with hitmaker Martin Garrix and dropped her eponymous debut in June.
“It feels especially good that alongside the chart success she is selling serious tickets globally, which shows how passionate her fanbase is and that she’s really connecting,” her manager, Ben Mawson of Tap Management, told Pollstar.
Lipa toured North America with Troye Sivan last year and appeared at a ton of festivals this summer. Now she is set to take the stage before some of the industry’s absolute biggest draws.
“She will be touring with Bruno Mars, both in the U.S. this fall and in Australia this spring,” Carole Kinzel of CAA told Pollstar. “She will tour with Coldplay in South America in the fall as well.”
The dates with Sivan got Lipa in front of a receptive crowd each night, Kinzel said, and she consistently won them over. The two up-and-coming artists also developed great chemistry on the road, she said, and were performing songs together by the end of the tour.
“Dua’s live performance is a reflection of her amazing energy and great personality. … She connects with the audience and everyone has fun every night.”
Lipa recently rocked festivals in Japan, Malaysia and South Korea, showing that she is becoming a truly global phenomenon.
She is also taking on North American runs of 1,200- to 3,500-cap venues in November and February.
