AEG’s Rebeca Leon Exits

Rebeca Leon is leaving her position as senior president of Latin Talent at AEG Presents / Goldenvoice to focus on her own management company, Lionfish Entertainment.

Leon, who spent 11 years with AEG / Goldenvoice, helped attract Latin artists to L.A. Live, which includes the Microsoft Theater, The Novo, Staples Center.  and The Conga Room. She also won several awards during her time with the company, including the AEG Chairman’s Award in 2015 and the TJ Martel Women of Influence award in 2016.

Lionfish Entertainment will focus on artist management, with clients Juanes and J Balvin already on board, in addition to non-music-content projects. 

“AEG Presents and Goldenvoice has been an amazing place for me to learn the concert promotion business and grow my career,” Leon said in a statement. “It was a difficult decision to leave AEG Presents, but it’s the right time for me to focus all of my energy on artist management. And I know there will be future projects down the road that I will work on with my friends at AEG.” 

AEG was ranked second in Pollstar’s mid-year top 100 promoters chart with 6.5 million tickets sold.
