Thom Yorke Rides Solo In U.S.

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has lined up a few headline plays of his own in two lucky states this December.

The fortunate states are California and Texas. Yorke takes the stage in Los Angeles Dec. 12 and Oakland, Calif., Dec. 14. Then its to Houston for the Day For Night Festival Dec. 15-17.

Tickets to Night For Day are on sale now and the headline gigs go on sale Oct. 5.

This isn’t the first time Yorke has gone solo. He last played at Pathway To Paris in 2015. Besides other festival plays he headlined in Boston in 2010 and two shows in Los Angeles in 2009. Those shows were at theatres, and were 99-100 percent full, with tickets going at $50 a pop.

Radiohead doesn’t currently have any dates booked, but the group had a busy summer, headlining festivals all over Europe, including Glastonbury. The group also took the main stage at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival earlier this year.
