Grant Park Repair More Than $500,000

The cost to repair Grant Park in Chicago following Lollapalooza Aug. 3-6 is said to be more than $500,000.

The Chicago Park District reports the cost to festival organizers C3 Presents is $515,000 to repair the park after the event, which had a rain-shortened first day. That amount is $60,000 more than last year’s repairs.

 Repairs include sod and soil work, shrub replacement, irrigation repairs and other work.

 Lollapalooza will return to Grant Park Aug. 2-5. The lineup hasn’t been announced but tickets are already on sale.
