Six of the Top 10 on the Elite 100 Artists chart this week are rap or hip-hop artists, with Post Malone (No. 2) still riding high on new material, NF (No. 3) dropping a new album, Drake still being Drake (No. 4), Lil Uzi Vert streaming hard after his recent debut LP release (No. 7), Lil Pump’s mixtape dropping (No. 8) and Kendrick Lamar (No. 10), who just wrapped up a massive arena tour last month.

Newcomer to the chart is Nate Feuerstein, also known as NF, a hip-hop artist booked by Jeff Krones at CAA.

NF has a lengthy 37-date “Perception” tour coming up in 2018, starting Jan. 23 in Iron City in Birmingham, Ala., and taking in both coasts with dates at venues including The Tabernacle in Atlanta, House of Blues Boston, Stubb’s BBQ in Austin, The Fillmore in Denver and four dates in California, including The Wiltern in Los Angeles March 7.

NF was on the road for much of 2017 already, including a lengthy spring tour, with Pollstar box office reports for shows including House of Blues Boston May 13 (1,510 tickets sold, $36,875 gross), Emo’s in Austin April 22 (1,389, $30,711), Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa April 18 (1,732, $38,647) and Myth in Saint Paul April 28, where the Michigan native moved 2,215 tickets, grossing $44,056 . Ticket prices were a modest, fan-friendly $20-$30 at most shows.

NF’s upcoming tour is in support of his new Perception LP, which dropped Oct. 6 via Capitol CMG alongside NF’s newly launched label, NF Real Music.

On the Elite 100 Chart, NF is second only to Tom Petty in album sales for the week.

Marilyn Manson had a strong showing as well following the release of his Heaven Upside Down album, putting him at No. 9 for the week.

Following a very painful-looking onstage injury at  Sept. 30 that forced the postponement of some dates, Manson is back on the road in November, with a month-long European tour before hitting North America again in January for 23 dates.

Pollstar, with the BuzzAngle Music-powered Elite 100 Artists Chart, gives a snapshot of the week’s top-selling artists based on music sales and streaming, counting data from the U.S. and Canada.

All product, not just current releases, by that artist are included in the figures and the total for ranking purposes is based on an album sale equaling 1, 10 song sales equal 1 album, and 1,500 on-demand streams equal 1 album.
