–
The agreement, signed with developer Madison Marquette, includes the iconic venue as well as the Stone Pony Summer Stage, the Wonder Bar, the Paramount Theatre and Convention Hall.
It continues a 10-year agreement between Live Nation and the company that operates the venues on the city’s waterfront, according to Asbury Park Press.
“The continuation of this relationship is representative of both parties’ commitment to expanding and evolving the legendary performances that have long been synonymous with Asbury Park, the project director for Madison Marquette said in a statement.
The 4,800-capacity Summer Stage had more than 20 shows this season including Bush, Pixies, Gary Clark Jr., Jesse Malin and Fuel.
Details of the agreement were not disclosed.
Madison Marquette recently signed an agreement to stage shows at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center of Newark, the Press reported, which added that Asbury Park’s Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival, held at the Summer Stage June 10-11 and featuring acts like NOFX, The Pietasters and Charles Bradley & The Extraordinaires, will not make a reappearance next year.
