The lineup certainly is impressive. Hailing from Dream Theater’s historic legacy is Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian. Add in one-time GNR axeman Ron “Bumblefoot” Thai, bassist Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, The Winery Dogs, David Lee Roth) and singer Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Journey, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force), and Sons Of Apollo is an unstoppable force bent on conquering the globe.
The band released Psychotic Symphony last month. Available as a 2CD Mediabook, the effort features a second disc of instrumental mixes and extended booklet bundled with a studio diary. The tour begins with the band’s participation in the Yes-helmed / prog-rock themed Cruise To The Edge departing Tampa Feb. 3, followed by a gig at the Monsters Of Rock pre-cruise party in Miami Feb. 9. Individual stops include Orlando, Atlanta, Buffalo, Asbury Park and Joliet, Ill.

Here are the first U.S. dates that will get to witness this ‘five-headed musical spectacle’ live on stage in February. We plan on being on tour all year long, all over the globe, with plenty of dates now being announced for summer festivals throughout Europe, but these are the very first shows that will get to witness this amazing lineup in person for the first time. We can’t wait!”
